Quiet residential area within walking distance to the center

The famous Petxina sports complex is located here.

The most famous street is Gran Via Fernando el Catolico. We are talking about a large avenue with a park area in the middle. The real estate market here is diverse: there are objects of both high price category and budget. Although there are no very cheap options here, you can find quite affordable ones. Overall, this county is cheaper than Eixample.

Each quarter in the big city of Valencia has its own history. Most of them used to be small villages or towns that joined Valencia at the end of the 19th century by a decree of the king requiring the unification of settlements with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants with large cities.

El Botànic quarter this name did not appear because all the botanists of Spain live here. It’s just that there is a picturesque Botanical Garden in this quarter.

From the point of view of transport, this quarter is also very convenient – there are several bus routes and two metro stations. The area also has good supermarkets, but the availability of shops leaves much to be desired. Street parking is also not very good.

But there are great bars and restaurants in this quarter. The Church of St. Sebastian is also located on its territory.

La Roqueta quarter has nothing to do with the word “rocket”. This place is called “rocky hill” because of its geographical location. There is the Monastery of St. Vincent, on the territory of which restoration is required. Discussions about the need for restoration work have been underway for a long time, but inconsistency with funding and disagreement on the scope of work make it difficult to carry them out.

The church in this quarter was known back in the X century, but acquired its present appearance in the XVIII century. Next to it is the North Station, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century and is an important transport hub for visiting tourists.

The Petxina quarter with a population of about 16,000 people looks well-groomed and landscaped. It has a cozy atmosphere, with a large square and lots of palm trees, which is typical for southern seaside towns.

Arrancapins is a quiet residential area with many restaurants and bars. Unlike the bustling tourist center of Valencia, there is no hustle and bustle here.
