Is Spain attractive for investment?

Inmsa Real Estate Investments and its analysts named the reasons and facts why Spanish real estate is among the top most interesting for investors this year.

ECONOMIC GROWTH

The Spanish economy was severely affected in 2020 by the coronavirus pandemic. In 2020, the country’s GDP decreased by about 12%, and unemployment increased by 7.5%. To date, the economy has recovered. The expert is confident that Spain’s economy will be one of the fastest growing in the near future.

LOW RATES AND EXCESSIVE LIQUIDITY

The combination of low interest rates and excessive liquidity has turned real estate into the most profitable and safest asset.

TOURISM RECOVERY

In 2020, tourism in Spain fell by 70%. In 2022, the tourism market is expected to fully recover, and possibly exceed the plans of previous years.

GOOD PAYBACK

The cost of real estate in Spain is much lower than in France, Germany and the UK. The return on investment from renting out real estate has also increased.

ATTRACTING VERY LARGE INVESTORS

Investor Warren Buffett bought the VA Property real estate agency in Spain to enter the commercial and residential real estate market. The American investment group Blackstone also attracted almost 10 billion euros to the Spanish real estate market, even during the pandemic.

PROJECTED INVESTMENT GROWTH

In the coming months, investment in Spanish real estate is expected to grow both from private investors and large investment funds. A new investment record is projected for the year, which may become a record in terms of volume and amount to about 30 billion euros.
